The weather conditions were sunny, cold and breezy with temperatures in the 20's. H&P Flex Rig #259 is the drilling rig at the location. I met with James Cheek, site company man and Fred Jones, Toolpusher, both consultants of Cabot in the company man trailer shortly after I arrived. The current drilling depth is (2,216.78) feet. Mr. Cheeks and Mr. Jones stated the following regarding site activities and the spill. "We are drilling in the vertical section of the 1H well. The intermediate casing was cemented at (2,125)feet on 1/24/18. The intermediate casing has been cemented on the 1H, 2H, 4H and 6H wells. We walked back to the 1H well and resumed drilling with water based mud. Kickoff point is at (5,005) feet. The well will be drilled to total depth at (16,227) feet. We are batch drilling. The spill occurred on 2/1/18 at 19:30. A cap was off and a valve was left open on a hydraulic power unit |

The weather conditions are sunny skies with a light to moderate breeze and temperatures in the 30's. Brody Webster, Senior Environmental Health and Safety Specialist of Cabot contacted me at 8:15 AM on 3/15/18 to indicate that Cabot has pulled the rig mats in the area where the diesel based drilling mud spill occurred which was discovered on 3/6/18, to evaluate the containment. Mr. Webster informed me during the phone conversation that a hole was discovered in the duck pond (equipment) containment for the mud pump house. The fluid was spilled out of one of the mud pumps located inside the house to the duck pond containment, the rig mats below and the felt below the rig mats. I received a phone call from Cabot's Drilling Eng., Mike Stansfield, on 3/29/18 notifying the Dept. of the need to sidetrack the 6H wells horizontal well bore due to a lost bottom hole assembly "BHA". The H&P #259 Rig had originally drilled the 6H horizontal to a depth of 20,024'. While drilling ahead to a projected TD of 22,550', rig encountered issues with the BHA, "Rotary Steerable Power Drive System". During tripping out of hole "TOH", the BHA became stuck in hole at ~ 8,450' - 8,565'. Rig has made attempts to trough off the original well bore at ~ 8,080' and 8,130'. Rig is making third attempt to sidetrack, presently drilling at a depth of ~ 8,230'. If this 3rd attempt is unsuccessful, Mr. Franks plans to have Rig TOH to change out drill bit and/or BHA.

Currently, stages that have been completed were: 1H: 3 of 34, 2H: 18 of 88, 4H: 13 of 83 and 6H: 14 of 79. The average formation breakdown pressure has been ~ 7500 psi.
