Inspections Performed

2231067 Primary Facility 2013-12-18 Drilling/Alteration No Violations Noted
2234222 Primary Facility 2013-12-19 Drilling/Alteration No Violations Noted During the inspection I surveyed the secondary containment systems on location, the solids handling in the backyard and the drill cuttings processing and solids control operated by New Alta. The solids control process invloves the use of rig shakers, and (2) centrifuges in order to separate solids and liquids in the drill cuttings with mud. The centrifuges strip out high and low gravity solids in the cuttings. During water based mud drilling a polymer and possibly calcium nitrate are injected to let the solids come together; basically used for flocculation purposes. This is also known as dewatering of the drill cuttings. The polymer is added to a poly tank and is eventually pumped through a centrifuge as the centrifuge is separating solids and liquids in the drill cuttings. A request for approval of an Alternative Waste Management Practice (OG-71) needs to be submitted to the Department for this process.
2371969 Primary Facility 2015-02-20 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted
2473408 Primary Facility 2016-04-11 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted At time of inspection, arrived on site at 10:15 a.m., the cellar had water at the bottom with no bubbling noticed, the (13x9) vent pipe was open and venting to a tank, the (9x5) vent pipe was open and venting to a tank, there was 774psi on the production casing. I took a walk around the location and everything looked OK.

I left the site at 11:20 a.m.

2612699 Primary Facility 2017-07-05 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted At time of inspection, arrived on site at 10:45a.m.

The cellar was about a quarter full of water with no bubbling noticed. The (13x9) annulus vent pipe was open and venting into a small plastic tank, the (9x5) annulus vent pipe was open and venting into a small plastic tank. All the annulus vent pipes were connected to one pipe going into the same tank. There was 647psi on the production casing. I took a walk around the location and there were no obvious concerns noticed. I left the site at 11:40a.m.
