There were 3 properly tagged Marcellus wells stage for production. The wells were plumbed to 2 poly vent tanks that were not on secondary containment. The well cellars were filled with water. No bubbling was observed, however, there was a slight sheen on part of the puddle around the wells (Photo #9). There were 3 GPUs and produced water tanks, 1 residual waste container, and 8 baker tanks onsite. There were rutted areas around the pad and site sign (Photo #1). Overall, the pad was very muddy but no major E&S issues were noted. Areas that were not immediately off the pad surface showed sufficient vegetative cover. There were 3 infiltration basin constructed. The basin contained ice and cattails. It is recommended that the basins be monitored to determine if they are functioning as designed or if remedial work is needed. It is also recommended that storage units, such as the residual waste container, be placed on secondary |
