First Class drilled to 200 ft. and noted high water bearing zones at 80 ft., 120 ft. and 160 feet. High water bearing zones during drilling caused a semi- loss of flow of drilling cuttings and water through the diverter pipe to allow water/drill cuttings to flow on back side of conductor pipe causing a release around the rig. First Class stopped drilling and cemented the backside of the conductor pipe with 5.2 sks of Class A. Plug was down at 4:00 pm on 2/2/12 with no return. First Class was going to allow the 8 hrs. Cement time for set up of cement prior to drilling to 300 ft. to set a water protection casing. April Wieland and March Maestra were on-site and noted the release and other site issues. |
