Chevron reported the release and indicated approximately 25 gallons were released off of containment. Released materials on containment were vacuumed up. Impacted vegetation was removed and was stored in sealed roll off containers prior to disposal.
On 11/01/18 an incident report from Chevron was received by the Department. The report details the cause of the release and the actions taken by Chevron to address the spill. No further response is necessary. On 11/07/18 I met with BA Lambie of Chevron and conducted an incident response inspection. The Act 9 sign was in place and all required documents were present. The spill did not require excavation to remediate, as the OBM only impacted vegetation.
