2353032 | Primary Facility | 2015-03-16 | Incident- Response to Accident or Event | Violation(s) Noted | 3/13/15 - The operator informed the DEP that during well service activity the well unloaded and was not able to be controlled with the service rig on location. The well discharged approx. 10-15 barrels of crude to the ground around the well head. No crude left the well pad. The service well crew where able to gain control of the well and shut the well in after the intial discharge of crude. The operator had the service rig moved and began removing visually impacted material and storing in storage containers on site for disposal. New stone was placed around the well head and the operator plans on bringing secondary containment to location for completion of service activity on the well. The operator has contacted Cummings/Ritter to complete soil sampling to direct impacted material cleanup and for confirmatory sampling for cleanup adequacy. |
2694105 | Primary Facility | 2018-02-09 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | On Friday, February 9, 2018, I conducted a routine-complete inspection of the Watson 2H, the Watson 3H and the Watson 4H oil wells located in Center Township, Greene County. The three wells are located on the same well pad, although each primary facility is associated with a separate site number.
The access road and the well pad were in good condition. The area was partially snow covered at the time of inspection and significant vegetative growth was observed through the snow cover and in areas without snow. The secondary containment around the production tanks appeared to be in good condition and functioning as intended. The production tanks also appeared to be in good condition. The gas well, Watson 2H (059-25970), and the associated infrastructure appeared to be in good condition and functioning properly. The well appeared to have a partial permit number on a metal tag, although the identification sign affixed to Units 3H and 4H was missing from Unit 2H. I did observe an area of differing shading |
2848250 | Primary Facility | 2019-03-05 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | On Tuesday March 3, 2019 I conducted a routine complete inspection at the Watson 2H Oil Well Site located in Center Township, Greene County. The Watson 2H well is located on the same pad as the Watson 3H and Watson 4H oil wells. Each primary facility is associated with a different site number.
The access road and the pad area were observed to be in good condition. At the time of inspection, a thin coating of snow partially covered the ground surface. Uniform vegetative growth was observed through the thin snow cover. The secondary containment around the production tanks appeared to be in good condition and functioning as designed. The production tanks appeared to be in sound condition. The oil well and associated infrastructure appeared to be in good condition and functioning properly. The well was tagged with identification. No violations were identified during the inspection. |
