Today I checked the well and got a zero reading on my meter and I couldn't hear any bubbling down hole only water running in. The water level is high at this time but this is the first time I have gotten a zero reading in the years of checking it. I notified Seneca resources of my findings and will continue to monitor the well for any gas and ask Seneca to monitor it too. |

There has been other plugging in the area and I was periodically checking the well for gas. On 1/22/19 I found the well no longer was leaking and I checked the well on 1/25/19, 2/1/19, 2/14/19, 2/22/19 and today 3/6/19 and have gotten a zero reading each time. Before you could hear the gas bubbling from across the location and I was getting 100% methane readings and now there is no bubbling and only water trickling into the well. The water level in the well is about 50' at this time.
I spoke with Dave Way from Seneca Resources and gave them permission to go ahead and top hole the well by filling it with pea gravel. |
