2715572 Primary Facility 2018-04-05 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted A routine inspection of this shallow abandoned well was conducted April 5, 2018. The well is in a swampy area near Hogstock run just SE of Kettle Creek. No road crosses Kettle Creek from 144 here. The site can be accessed by vehicle from Haystack road, which runs down Hogstock hollow. This road becomes private and gated. At the time of inspection, the well is buried and has a 2" candy cane vent extending above ground level. The vent is tee'd, one side is shut in at a valve and the other is open and venting. No flow was seen coming from the vent. 100% gas was detected at the vent with an Altair 5x gas meter. No significant amount of pressure could be felt at the vent. No obvious issues were observed outside of the vent pipe. The well has been scored and placed on the DEP plugging list.
