2526196 Primary Facility 2016-10-04 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted Inspection of EOG Resource’s Punxsutawney Hunting Club 10V well in Lawrence Twp. Clearfield County conducted October 4, 2016 at 12:00 pm. The well is a vertical monitoring well on inactive status and the operator has made tentative plans to plug this well. The well has 8 5/8” surface casing (1394’), TD @ 7391’ and 4 ½” production csg ran (6190’) and cemented (TOC@1590’), never perf’d. At the time of inspection; The well has 4 ½” production csg w/ 4 ½” x 2” swage made up to 2” ball valve in open position. Backside of production csg (8 5/8” x 4 ½”) annulus is capped with side outlet open at 2” ball valve. Lines from csg and annulus were tee’d together and venting to onsite tank. A field reading with an Altair 5x gas meter at the vent yielded 100% lel, 100% methane, 2000 ppm CO, 1 ppm H2S. I isolated both casings at the wellhead and got the same reading; possible cross-contamination between csgs since both casings are tee’d together with no check valve. I reviewed the Operator’s tentative plugging procedure wh
2530524 Primary Facility 2016-10-21 Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) No Violations Noted Inspection of EOG Resource’s Punxsutawney Hunting Club 10V well in Lawrence Twp. Clearfield County conducted October 21, 2016. Baker Hughes looked like they were rigging down. I met with Russ from EOG to discuss operations on the pad. After WOC overnight they tagged the top of that last plug in the 4 ½” today at 1531’ (TOC behind 4 ½” also 1531’). Shot off 4 ½” at 1490’ and pulled. Baker just got done spotting the last balanced cement plug from the stub back up to 100’ inside the 8 5/8”, top of plug calculated 1285’, they’ll tag Monday.
2530525 Primary Facility 2016-10-20 Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) No Violations Noted Inspection of EOG Resource’s Punxsutawney Hunting Club 10V well in Lawrence Twp. Clearfield County conducted October 20, 2016. A service rig was rigged up on the well for plugging ops along with Baker Hughes cement crew to mix, pump, and spot balanced plugs. I met with Russ from EOG to discuss operations on the pad. The rig tagged bottom, hole was loaded with gel. I watched the cement crew mix and pump the first plug (4.5 BBL) in the bottom of the 4 ½” (7211-6924’). The crew will balance (3) more cement plugs in the 4 ½” today, WOC overnight, tag the top plug, shoot off 4 ½” casing (~1590’) & pull, then balance their last plug from the stub back up into the shoe and into the 8 5/8” casing.
2531682 Primary Facility 2016-10-24 Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) No Violations Noted Inspection of EOG Resource’s Punxsutawney Hunting Club 10V well in Lawrence Twp. Clearfield County conducted October 24, 2016 at 1 pm. I met with Russ from EOG to discuss operations on the pad. He said when they tagged the top plug this morning (~1256’) they saw some minor bubbling in the gel inside the 8 5/8”. The operator wants to set another plug (CMT w/gasblock) inside the 8 5/8” on top of the existing plug. I advised the Companyman to only go forward with this plan of action if he’s confident there is no gas migrating up the 8 5/8” casing’s annulus, making sure there is good shoe and annular integrity. It is suspected the bubbling is coming from shallow zone above the TOC on the backside of the 4 ½”, then when they shot off and pulled casing it was able to migrate through that top cement plug from the stub back up into the 8 5/8” casing. I checked the (4) cement (slurry) samples on location from the plugs they pumped in the 4 ½” last Thursday. They were set-up, showing some strength but still slightly s
2534401 Primary Facility 2016-11-02 Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) No Violations Noted Inspection of EOG Resource’s Punxsutawney Hunting Club 10V well in Lawrence Twp. Clearfield County conducted November 2nd 2016. At approximately 1 pm. The rig has pulled of location. I met with Russ from EOG on the pad. After Baker set the last plug the job appeared to be a success at first, but after rigging down it was noticed there was still some gas inside the 8 5/8”. I looked at the slurry samples from the last plug w/gasblock; they displayed good strength. I reviewed the pump chart; no obvious irregularities. Mix water temp. for the slurry reportedly 85 degrees and tested by Baker. At time of inspection; the well was shut in at a needle valve since reportedly ~9am. I opened it up to my Altair 5x gas meter; 100% methane. The well blew down within a few minutes but still needs addressed. The (16x 8 5/8”) annulus was exposed, cemented to surface. I tapped probe w/hose hooked up to my gas meter in the annulus; no gas detected outside the 8 5/8”. Operator feels it’s shallow gas migrating through a channel i
2539813 Primary Facility 2016-11-22 Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) No Violations Noted Inspection of EOG Resource’s Punxsutawney Hunting Club 10V well in Lawrence Twp. Clearfield County conducted November 22nd 2016 at 2:10 pm. Since last site visit 11/2/16 operator has set 8” packer inside the casing and capped w/CMT (on top of last gasblock CMT plug). At time of inspection; the 10V had a 2” candy cane marker vent swage stabbed into the 8 5/8” csg. A field reading at the vent with an Altair 5x gas meter detected no gas in any amount. The cellar was full of water and the 8 5/8”s annulus was underwater. No bubbling was observed. Waiting on Plug Cert.
2580356 Primary Facility 2017-04-05 Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) No Violations Noted Routine (plugged) inspection of EOG Resource’s Punxsutawney Hunting Club 10V plugged well in Lawrence Twp. Clearfield County conducted April 5, 2017 at 12:45 pm. The plugged well has a 2” candy cane vent installed on top of the well. There was ~7% gas detected inside the vent, and no gas detected outside the vent indicating little to no flow. No gas was detected at ground level outside the vent (annulus).
2854156 Primary Facility 2019-03-12 Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) No Violations Noted A routine inspection of this plugged, vertical, uncompleted, unconventional well was conducted March 12, 2019. At the time of inspection, a 2" candy cane vent pipe with marker plate is installed on the well as a plugged well monument. There was no visible or audible venting. The location was snow covered; no evidence of discharge was observed. A trace of gas (<10% LEL) was detected at the mouth of the vent with an Altair 5x gas meter. No gas was detected at the base of the vent. No obvious major issues were observed at this time.
