Drill cuttings were observed accumulated on the ground on the fill slope and into the undisturbed wooded area below the well pad. It was noted that some of the cuttings had been deposited into the headwaters of an UNT. In addition it appeared that sediment laden runoff had been flowing down the access road across the pad and into the headwaters of the UNT as well. Left message at the listed operator phone number requesting that corrective actions be undertaken and that work be underway by the time WQS Higgins arrives onsite on 03/29/11 at 10:30 AM. Mr. Wilson stated that the work to clean-up of the cuttings should be underway by the end of this current week. In addition Mr. Wilson stated that all of the equipment located onsite is to be removed as part of the site restoration. |
