Inspection Data

Inspections Performed

Inspection ID Inspection Date Inspection Type Inspection Result Inspection Comments
0316424595 2013-09-09 Field Inspected, Well Not Found No Violations Could not access well head due to the fact that it was in a corn field. The tank battery was accessable. It consists of 1 210 barrel tank, a separator, and a meter. I smelled a rotten egg smell while close to the tank battery which is indicative of H2S gas. I spoke with Mr. Tom Mellinger of Enervest. He is the pumper for this well. He stated that the well had been shut in due to H2S gas problems. They had tried to treat the well and he had turned it on and sold gas from it last fall.
0426966393 2014-12-29 Production Wells No Violations Performed an inspection on this well in response to a complaint from landowner Mr. Donald Rauch. Mr. Rauch had stated that the well had H2S issues and that it is incapable of production. Upon inspection, it was observed that the well is equipped for production and is shut in, but capable of producing. The well consists of 8.625 surface casing, 4.5 intermediate casing, 1.5 production tubing, a rabbit catcher, and a logic controller. No H2S issues were observed upon inspection. The tank battery consists of a 210 bbl production tank, mechanical separator, drip, meter run, and containment dike. Legible and correct ID information is posted at the tank. I was accompanied on this inspection by EnerVest Well Tender Mr. Tom Mettinger and he stated that they have attempted to treat the well with Sulphur Treat and freshwater to help mitigate the H2S issues, but have been unsuccessful. He also stated that EnerVest plans to plug this well in 2015. No compliance notice will be issued at this time.
1139839327 2016-10-06 Production Wells No Violations I received a call from the land owner, Donald Roach, he was concerned of the smell of hydrogen sulfide gas (H2S) around the well. During my inspection the well was equipped with 8.625 inch diameter surface casing, 4.5 inch diameter production casing, 2.375 inch diameter tubing, and a plunger lift system. There is not a logic controller on the plunger lift and the valves on the 4.5 inch production casing are closed. I did not detect any readings of H2S with the Sperian Gas meter. The production equipment consist of one 210 barrel tank, one vertical separator, and a chart meter without a chart. No pollution violations present.
1378903643 2013-09-09 Field Inspected, Well Not Found No Violations I was not able to locate the well in the field due to the fact that it was surrounded by corn and the GPS point supplied by RBDMS is inaccurate. However, I was able to inspect the tank battery. It consists of 1 210 barrel tank, a separator, and a meter run. I smelled a rotten egg smell indicating H2S gas. I spoke with the pumper for this well. He stated that he turns it on from time to time to sell some gas and relieve some pressure, but the H2S deteriorates the timers and other equipment. I also spoke the production supervisor, and he will be talking to headquarters about what to do with this well. Temporary inactive status is an option for this well.
1640034576 2002-04-04 Preliminary Restoration No Violations
