0036008195 2015-06-22 Production Wells No Violations I was on location for a follow-up inspection in reference to compliance notice no. 1430911289. During my inspection, I found the tank battery full of water with oil hugging the entire edge of the dike wall. I took two high level Quantab readings of the water inside the dike. After 5 minutes, the results of the readings were 5.2 and 5.4 which equates to 1,304 to 1,416 ppm chlorides. I observed a production chart dated 5/15. Inside the production meter with the chart were three (3), pink, field tickets from Kleese Development Inc. (KDA). The northeast corner of the dike has not been repaired. The spare pumpjack has not been removed from the location. I called Bob Barr at 740-260-2154 and left a message with for a return call concerning the tank battery. Photos were taken and are available upon request.

0777261121 2015-05-06 Production Wells No Violations I was on location for a follow-up inspection in reference to compliance notice no. 1430911289. During my inspection, I found the diked tank battery half full of water. I observed all of the gravel inside the dike had a rusty, orange color. I took a high level Quantab reading of the water in the dike. After 5 minutes, the result of the high level Quantab was a 9, which equates to 6,396 ppm chlorides. Upon further inspection, I found a one foot section of the north dike wall allowing water from inside the dike to leach through. The spare pumpjack has not been removed from the location. I called and spoke with Don Gooseman, field supervisor for Big Sky. Mr. Gooseman stated the tank battery is on a list to be addressed. I instructed Mr. Gooseman that the water inside the dike and the gravel inside the dike needed removed. Also, I told Mr. Gooseman to repair the north side of the dike and remove the spare pumpjack. Next, I called and left a message with Bob Barr to return my call. A follow-up inspection will be conducted by 5/17/2015. Additional photos were taken and available upon request.
1122374021 2014-02-28 Production Wells Violations Noted I checked this well to determine if the company is in compliance with chiefs order # 2014-43 . I found the tank battery is equipped with 1 100 bbl , 1 210 bbl steel tanks and 1 separator . The 210 bbl tank was 1/2 full of fluid . I could not access the 100 bbl tank to determine the amount of fluid in it due to there was no ladder to access it . The chart on the gas meter was marked with the date of 2-26 with no year indicated . The clock in the gas meter was running but there was no indication on the chart the well was producing or not . The valves from the flow line to the separator and from the separator to the sales line were open . At the well location I found the well is equipped with a pumping unit . The pumping unit was not operating at the time of my inspection . The valve from the flow line to the well was open . There was a active domestic hook-up off of the production casing . NOTE: This well shares a common tank battery with P# 2328 . I could not determine definitively if the well was or was not in production .
1265268980 2018-03-12 Production Wells No Violations I conducted a compliance notice folllow-up inspection for compliance notice 1430911289. At the time of my inspection, I found the well not in production. The motor and belt are still missing from the pumping unit. The flow line valves were open. The gravel in the diked tank battery has not been removed and replaced with cleaned out. The 100 BBL tank is corroding along the base of the tank and has rust pitting. The pumping unit with no motor or weights is still on location next to the tank battery. There is an identification sign posted at the tank battery but not at the well. The well shares the tank battery with permit 2-2328.
1288506250 2015-05-26 Production Wells No Violations I was on location for a follow-up inspection in reference to compliance notice no. 1430911289. During my inspection, I found the water inside the diked tank battery completely evaporated. All of the gravel, soil and weeds are a rusty color. The spare pumpjack has not been removed from the location. There is a rusty, brine stain on the outside of the dike in the northwest corner indicating seepage. I called and left a message with Bob Barr to return my call concerning the condition of the tank battery. Additional photos were taken and are available upon request.

-43. I noticed during my inspection the pumpjack in production and operating. The tank battery consisted of a 210 barrel production tank, a 100 barrel brine tank, and a separator. A dike surrounded the two tanks and separator. The inside of the separator was oil stained and missing a door. There was a 7 day production chart on the sales line dated 5/28/2014. The tank battery and lease road was shared with permit number 2-3328. An identification sign was posted on the production tank, but not at the pumpjack. Photos were taken of the production equipment and of the well in operation. The well was in production which was in non--43. The well needs to be shut-in immediately.

1430911289 2015-04-14 Production Wells Violations Noted I was on location for a status check. During my inspection, I found the diked tank battery full of water with a slight sheen on top. The tank battery consists of a 210 barrel production tank, a 100 barrel brine tank and a mechanical separator. An identification sign is posted. The dike surrounds the tank battery. I observed a spare pumpjack positioned next to the tank battery stripped of weights, a motor, and belts. Upon further inspection of the water in the tank battery, I placed four (4) low level Quantabs on all four sides of the dike. After several minutes, the reading on the low level Quantabs was maxed out. Next, I placed four (4) high level Quantab on all four sides of the dike. After several minutes, the reading on the high level Quantabs was a 9, which equates to 6,396 ppm chlorides. The water is contained inside the dike. I immediately called Don Gooseman, field supervisor for Big Sky Energy. I told Mr. Gooseman of my findings and instructed him that the water needed to be removed immediately along with all impacted soil, gravel and weeds. Also, I told Mr. Gooseman to inspect both tanks for a possible leak and to remove the stripped pumpjack from the location. Mr. Gooseman stated the companys water truck was not in operation. Also, Mr. Gooseman stated he would contact Bob Barr, owner of Big Sky Energy about getting a water truck. Mr. Gooseman claimed that the 100 barrel brine tank may be leaking and needs to be replaced. Next, I called and left a message with Bob Barr to return my call concerning the condition of the tank battery. I researched our RBDMS database and found Big Sky did not file annual production for 2013. A compliance notice will be issued for failure to keep dike free of water or oil. A follow-up inspection will be conducted by 4/24/2015. Photos were taken and available upon request.
