1395670566 2014-03-14 UrbanProduction Wells Violations Noted I inspected this well on 3/4/2014. The lease road was graveled and passable for traffic. The tank battery consisted of a 210 Bbl. Stock tank, a 25 Bbl. Brine tank and a vertical separator. The dike was sufficent to contain the fluids in the tank battery. I found that the load lines were unlocked and outside the fencing . The north gate was unlocked allowing unrestricted access. The 210 Bbl. Stock tank was leaking at the welded seam at 10. It appeared that previous repairs were made on this tank. The well consisted of a Churchill model 40 pumping unit ran by electric. The standard pumping well head configuration was used and leak free at the time of my inspection. A domestic house outlet was connected to the wells casing. A small compressor was located inside the fencing with the well. A 55 gallon drum was located outside of the wells fencing and was full of some type of fluid. The access gate to the well was locked. The electric box was not locked. The gas sales line is above ground and crosses Yellow Creek stream on a bridge and presents a possible source of contamination due its position and construction. I spoke with the Operator ( Cal Marks of Transcontinental ) who said that since Dominion / EOG recently upgraded their gaslines it was possible to lay a line to them to sell the lease gas. In order to bring this well into compliance Transcontinental shall place locks on the loadlines, gates, electrical boxes and reroute, bury the gas salesline as to eliminate a possible source of pollution. The 210 Bbl. will either be satisfactorily and permanently repaired or replaced. The 55 gallon drum shall be emptied and if required for operations be moved inside of the fencing for the pump jack.
