0898395099 2017-02-28 Production Wells Violations Noted Tom Hill (ODNR Regional Supervisor) was in accompaniment. I conducted a status check and a complaint follow-up inspection for complaint #5535 on this well. The complaint is for the occasional odor of gas and the well is located in an urban township. The well is equipped with a pumpjack with an electric motor. The well is fenced with a locked gate. The diked tank battery consists of two 100 barrel tanks, two horizontal separators, two inground concrete brine vaults and two meters. The tank battery is not fenced and the tank has no lightning arrestor nor an activated charcoal filter on the vent stack. The tank battery is shared with well # 24188. The well is legibly identified at the tank battery but not at the well. The well needs to be identified since there is a shared tank battery. It is requested at this time that the operator make the necessary changes to the tank battery to meet the Urban Well requirements as outlined in Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) 1501:9-9-05.
1635264899 2017-03-29 Production Wells No Violations I conducted a compliance notice follow-up inspection on this well. The well is legibly identified. The violation is passed. The owner added fencing and a locked gate to the tank battery. Also, a spark arrestor and charcoal filter were added to the tanks.
