0000PL5323 Preliminary Restoration No Violations Preliminary Restoration done information from Data Point
1120226880 2005-07-01 Production Wells No Violations The surface of the retention pond had no visible free oil. Oil release has been cleaned up. Peat Sorb has been spread along the north edge of the pond and the oil booms are still in place. Discussed brine vault removal with Tim McConaha.
1123541763 2005-08-08 Production Wells No Violations See Complaint 05-010. TB location and retention pond are cleaned up. N.O.V. has been RESOLVED.
1347027231 2005-06-30 Production Wells Violations Noted Received a call from Tim McConaha (B&B) regarding a flooded tank battery and brine vault. Inspected the site. Heavy rainfall Wednesday night (6-29-05) caused excessive runoff and ponding of water that caused a production brine vault to overflow and discharge brine and residual oil into a retention pond. This non-discharging retention pond catches runoff from new construction off of I-77. The pond surface was coated in several places with a thin layer of oil. Arvilla placed absorbent pads and oil booms at the various locations. A water truck pulled out all remaining fluid from the brine vault. Arvilla will skim the retention pond free of oil and when flood water subsides, B&B will remove the brine vault from the location. I placed a call to Julie Berbari (Stark Co. Soil & Water Conservation) regarding the flooding problem. B&B is not at fault. The release was caused as a result of the heavy rainfall and the newly created drainage ditch and the retention pond. Will follow-up on clean up efforts.
