1487880683 2017-02-15 Final Restoration No Violations I was on location to inspect and determine the status of this Clinton Sandstone well that is currently listed as a producing well under the ownership and bond of Noble Oil Corp (Owner #132). My research indicates that Noble Oil Corporation was officially dissolved on November 24th, 1998 in filings with the Secretary of the State of Ohio. A plugging permit was issued to Noble Oil Corp for this well on 8/8/1985 and expired on 8/8/1986. The last production reported for this well was for the reporting year 1986. There is no plugging report on file with the Division attesting to the plugging and abandonment of this well. A review of the 1985 aerial photography on the Portage County Auditors website clearly shows the presence of a pumping unit and tank battery associated with this well. The next set of aerial photos, taken in 1990, clearly show that the pumping unit has been removed and the ground is disturbed in the clearing. The surface production equipment remains and is being utilized by the Smith #3 (PN#22633) which was drilled by Noble Oil Corp one (1) month after this well, and is currently owned and operated by Enervest Operating. I inspected this location today and walked 1/2 mile to the GPS location of the wellhead. The area was searched for 30 minutes in a 200 radius around the location and I found no evidence of a wellhead or any ancillary equipment. The lease road to the former wellhead remains and is still used as access to the property. Based on the gathered evidence, this well was likely plugged and abandoned between 1986 and 1990. Final Restoration is approved.
