2045519464 2017-02-23 Final Restoration No Violations I was on location to inspect and determine the status of this Clinton Sandstone well that is currently listed as a producing well under the ownership and bond of Noble Oil Corp (Owner #132). My research indicates that Noble Oil Corporation was officially dissolved on November 24th, 1998 in filings with the Secretary of the State of Ohio. A plugging permit was issued to Noble Oil Corp for this well on 8/12/1983 and expired on 2/8/1984. Production records in RBDMS show no commercial production ever reported for this well. There is no plugging report on file with the Division attesting to the plugging and abandonment of this well. This well was drilled in 1981 and a review of the 1980 & 1985 aerial photography on the Portage County Auditors website shows dense trees at the well location in 1980 and that the area had been cleared in the 1985 photos. I inspected this location today and spoke with the trailer park superintendent. He told me that he has never found any evidence of a well or production equipment on the property. He gave me permission to inspect the GPS location of the wellhead. I searched the entire cleared area for 20 minutes and around the GPS location, and I found no evidence of a wellhead or any ancillary equipment. There is no lease road to the former wellhead and/or tank battery and is only a path into the clearing. Based on the gathered evidence, this well was likely plugged and abandoned between 1983 and 1984. Final Restoration is approved.
