1466704318 2016-06-20 Orphan No Violations Today I visited a well on Paul Fleemans ground, as a request to put it in the orphan well program. I found the 6.625 OD casing standing 15 above ground level with a threaded cap screwed partially into the collar of the casing. There was a 1/2 valve in the top of the cap to let the pressure off but the cap was not very tight. A slight odor of gas was noticed 3-4 away and it is believed to be coming from inside the casing. The ground around the casing was loose and there was no cement behind the casing. Records show there was 150 of 8 and 650 of 6 but only the 6 was seen this day. The records show the gas was from the 3rd Salt Sand formation at 1060 with a total depth of 1123. The well was drilled in 1945 by Lebanon Oil Co. The well can easily be seen from Township Road 246 (Fleeman Run Rd.) and is 1000 from the intersections of Monroe County, Washington County and Noble County. The terrain is sloping hay meadow. Access is at GPS N 39.60815, W-81.28528. Pictures taken, SEM is 100.
