Well is not plotting very close to location on 3-D topo but IDs at the well say it is #1012 - Well No. 10 - no owner name or other information. Tank down below, closer to road and very overgrown and rusty - no IDs or dike. Landowner, Don Oliver, called to say would like wells plugged - called and talked to Don Coleman and he admitted to operating them but not interested in plugging them. Told him could be done inexpensively with fire clay - he say maybe if he got the deep rights. I believe Don Coleman has suspended bond and no insurance. Mr. Oliver says wells were wrote up as being in violation back in 1996 by Mike Kavage - nothing done. I explained that didnt think I could hold Mr. Coleman responsible as not on his bond/no lease. Oliver forwarding all paperwork to me and we will see what it shows. 10/5 - Talked with Don Coleman a couple times. He admits once ownership of these 2 wells but not interested in plugging and says they are not on bond. He was nice enough about it - told him to get his others wells in shape, IDs and that would help his case on these. Received paperwork from Don Oliver showing a waranty deed from Colemen to Oliver, claiming these 2 wells belong to Coleman and he can still produce them. I believe that is good enough evidence to hold Coleman responsible for plugging. |
