0258703192 2014-03-11 Orphan No Violations My inspection this day due to a request from the mineral owner, Morgan-Schofield, LLC to have this well plugged. My site inspection found an idle well 1/2 mile off Crews Lane, thru dense brush and trees. The well contained 1 diameter rods, 2 3/8 diameter tubing, 5.5 diameter production casing and 9 diameter surface casing. There is an old scissor pumping unit off to the side of the well. The wellhead has 2 ports, one sealed with a plug and one open and the well is not leaking. Down gradient from this well is a 20-30 barrel tank used to store oil that was eventually transferred to another tank at the road. Available well records show that this well was drilled in 1953 to a total depth of 474 in the Cow Run Ss. These records also show the well made 3 barrels of oil after it was shot with nitroglycerin. This and several other wells in the area were pumped from an old central power unit which is still on location. Pictures taken, SEM is 106.
1391877423 2014-03-17 Administrative Inspection No Violations Following a field inspection requested by the mineral owner, a courthouse search found a Release of the Lease from Mr. Robert Woodyard, an Operator in Ohio, stating that he DID own the lease. I am not sure if he ever produced them but feel they cannot be put in the Orphan Well Program at this time. I informed mineral owner.
