The surface casing and tubing have deteriorated from rust and are marked by holes. There is a 100 barrel tank and no dike. There is a meter with no chart, and the well has reported zero for production since 2003. Operator must make well capable of production within 30 days; or plugging is required in 30 days. Failure to comply may result in forfeiture of bond. I called Jody Jasper and he said that was a dead well. He also stated there is a company preparing to buy all of the non-producing Diversified wells. 4/11/2013: I talked with Jody again and he stated all of the shut in/non-producing wells owned by Diversified in Ohio were going to be sold. He said he believed it was to go through this Friday but was not sure the name of the company. |

The 8 casing was not visible at the surface and may have been buried under ground level. The well is still not hooked up to any flow lines. The tank and dike have been moved to a new area adjacent to the well in order to meet spacing requirements. I talked to Rust Hutson of M & R and he stated that they had cut and removed the 8 and 5 casing then cut dug down below the bad section of tubing. They then cut the tubing off and welded a collar on the tubing. They placed the 5 back on with a sleeve and coupling and then the 8. They used regular cement only at the surface to stabilize the tubing. Rusty stated they could not get a wellhead for the 5. They will return to install meter and they also have someone lined up to send gas into a nearby sales line. |
