1483112133 | 2016-12-30 | Production Wells | No Violations | I stopped at the home right as you pull in the driveway to see if I could speak to a landowner before going back to this well. I received no answer when I knocked so I began to walk back to the well. As I was climbing the hill to the well the landowner shouted and asked who I was and what I was doing. I informed her I was the Inspector for Ohio Department of Natural Resources Oil and Gas Division and I was looking for a well to do an inspection on it. She let me proceed to the well. The inspection today revealed that this well is a 4 1/2 inch diameter wellhead with 2 inch diameter steel and plastic production lines. I found this well by following a black 2 inch diameter production line up to it as the coordinates were incorrect in RBDMS the correct coordinates are 39.76555, -81.99505. The 2 inch diameter plastic lines lead back to the house that was on the land. I returned to the house after I had done my inspection to speak with the landowner and introduce myself to her. I told her I had knocked and got no answer so I assumed no one was home or she was asleep. She told me she was in the basement and did not hear me knock. I apologized to her about that and told her what my intent was for it. She said she was just worried as she had been broken into before and was just worried as to who I was. She had called her father and said he was on his way. I told her I would be more than happy to speak to him and will wait for him. He father showed up about 5 to 10 minutes after that and I gave him one of my and introduced myself to him. He was very disgruntled and asked what gave me permission to be on his property without his permission. I informed him of 1509.223 our right to entry private or public property as long as their was a well on the property and, that because no inspection had been done on this well before I wanted to do one on it. I told him if he would like we could call the sheriff and have him come out and speak with him as well about it and offered to show h |
