I could not determine the pressure on the tubing or the casing as there were no gauges installed on either. There was a residential type meter and regulator that was installed off of the casing and was covered in heavy plastic to protect it from the elements. No visible leaks were observed on the wellhead or adjacent piping around the wellhead. The wellhead was enclosed with a steel chain link fence with a locked gate. The fenced in area contained a large amount of tall weedy brush, but the outside area around the well was nicely maintained. The tank battery contained one 210 bbl. steel oil storage tank, one concrete in ground brine storage tank one vertical oil and gas separator unit, one gas sales run with an enclosed gas sales chart recorder and a small drip unit. There were also two sections of catwalk laying on the ground in the tank battery. The proper identification sign was posted on the tank and no leaks were observed on the tank or piping in the battery. The entire tank battery was enclosed with a steel chain link fence with a locked gate so I could not gain access to the inside of the tank battery. The dike was in good shape and the area within and around the tank battery was well maintained. It was determined that this tank battery also handles production for the Switter #5 well. |

During my follow-up compliance notice inspection I accessed lease road off of Sharon Copley road (GPS 41.099283 / -81.764936) I found this well still in non-compliance. I found the well equipped with a pumping unit equipped with an electric motor enclosed within a steel chain link fence with a locked gate. The well head flow line valves off well head were closed. I inspected around the well head and found no visually evidence of pollution and contamination. Then I proceeded to the tank battery which I accessed through the drive way for address 2228 Sharon Copley Rd. This tank battery is used by several wells on the lease (Permit numbers 103-2-2272.103-2-2773 and 103-2-2971) and is enclosed within a chain link fence and a locked gate. Equipment within the tank battery consists of one 210 Barrel oil storage tank, two vertical separators, two small drip bottles and a buried concreate brine tank. The landowner (Mr. Switter) indicated that the four wells on his property were shut in due to corrosion of the flow lines from the four wells to tank battery. |
