I met with Asst Chief Tim Mitchell,( 440-323-4815)(440-669-4247)and Columbia Gas of Ohio representitives,Rick Hughes, (330-653-7173) at site. Gas was bubbling in the parking lot of Chalfrant Mfg. Co. Columbia brought their backhoe and we dug down 8 and located a 12 borehole leaking gas at 100 % lel. No well locaton on topo maps. We set an 8 PVC vent pipe in well and back filled hole. There is no metal casing in well.Chalfrant is applying for state funding to have well plugged. Bill Russell is the contact name. |
