1173230016 | 2007-03-06 | Orphan | No Violations | Called by Tom Emery of Columbia Gas Transmission to investigate a crude oil spill on his lease road leading to a storage well. Located an abandoned 4 casing at ground level. High water filled Berea well and approximatly 1 gallon of crude oil floated to the top of the casing and spilled on the lease road. During plugging of the Calvin Smith landowner grant wells in 2005 this landowner would not give permission to have this abandoned well plugged. No one home at this time. The fluid level in well is at 300 now. No enviromental damage at this time. |
