1505918883 2017-09-19 Orphan No Violations Inspected Conducted a site inspection at the request of the landowner Mrs. Doris Ran because she is in the process of selling property at 38444 Otten road. I Met with Mrs. Ran she explained concerned about an old well which is within the wooded are behind her house will be an issue when it comes to sell her property.
An inspection of the well found the 10.5 inch diameter casing was sticking up approximately 3 foot and the conductor casing had a steel plate attached with 2 inch fittings( valve with no handle and coupler to an elbow and a coupler no plug.

GAS ODOR PRESENT AROUND THE WELL CASING UNABLE TO GET READING WITH GAS METER ETHER CLOSE OR FAR AWAY FROM CASING. REFERING TO ORPHAN WELL PROGRAM TO BE EVALUATED.

1515168503 2018-01-04 Orphan No Violations On location today to follow up on Complaint # 5704. Contacted Doris Rand and her daughter Cindy Griffiths. Advised both as to the OWP progress, and the remaining steps to be taken. Told them that we MAY perform a cold tap on the casing when the weather is a little more bearable for such an operation. Collected 6 additional photos and confirmed GPS coordinates. At time of inspection, there was no odor of gas, no evidence of any hydrocarbon contamination, and no olfactory evidence of any leakage.
