0038845387 2015-09-14 Orphan No Violations I inspected this well location pursuant to a complaint reported by a representative of the condominium community (Complaint #5122). The nature of the complaint consisted of reporting the presence of the well. At the time of my inspection, I observed a 6-inch diamater well riser located 30 feet from the front entrance to the referenced address. The well is located in a small landscaped area. At the top of the riser, which is 3 feet above grade, there is a gate valve which is closed. I did not observe any signs of leakage at the time of this inspection. I did observe the exterior portion of the casing to be extensively corroded with some spalling pieces of the corroded steel on the ground. There is some noticeable bubbling of gas at the valve outlet. Gas readings vary from 0 to 3% LEL within 6 inches of the wellhead, and decrease to zero within 12 inches. The landscaped ground surface around the wellhead is green and does not exhibit signs of impact.
