0672587788 2017-09-28 Drill / Deepen / Reopen No Violations On the date if my inspection I found that the conductor has been set for this permit number. The cement has been brought to approximately 6.5 feet below ground surface. The cellar was drilled to 8 feet, which leaves approximately 18 inches of good cement in the floor.
0787975162 2017-10-10 Drill / Deepen / Reopen No Violations On the date of my inspection I found Patterson rig 292 drilling the intermediate section of this well at approximately 5000 feet. The containment does not have any visual punctures or tears. All of the chemicals were within containment. The pad is surrounded by a fenced earthen dike covered by healthy vegetation. The pad drain valves are in the closed position and do not appear to be leaking.
1223083627 2007-10-16 Drill / Deepen / Reopen No Violations On the date of my inspection I found Patterson rig 292 cementing the intermediate string. I witnessed the last 40 barrels of displacement. Ascent indicated that they saw approximately 86 barrels of cement return to surface. They landed the wiper plug and pressured up to 500 pounds per square inch over landing pressure and held 2398 pounds per square inch for 5 minutes. The containment does not have any visual punctures or tears but is full to the point of overflowing along the back side of the rig. The Ascent company man indicated that he would have water trucks drain the containment today. All of the chemicals were within containment. The pad is surrounded by a fenced earthen dike covered by healthy vegetation. The pad drain valves are in the closed position and do not appear to be leaking.
1453877733 2017-12-12 Completion Testing No Violations On the date of my inspection I found a well maintained lease road with an unlocked gate. The pad is surrounded by an earthen dike with healthy vegetation and a fence with an unlocked gate. The pad has 3 wells, 4 sand separators, 3 gas production units, and two 500 barrel tanks within a metal dike. Since the time of my last inspection, Ascent Resources has drilled 2 more wells. Permit number 3408120654 is currently shut. Pressure gauges on the surface and intermediate casing on this well currently read 0 and 3600 pounds per square inch respectively. ESS Corporation is currently onsite with SEI working on the new production equipment. There is also some miscellaneous equipment on the pad related to the equipment installation activities. The Ascent company man indicated that he thought frac operations would begin on the 2 new wells within 3 weeks. The 2H will remain shut in until they flow back the 4H and 6H.
1507172190 2017-10-04 Drill / Deepen / Reopen No Violations Today I am on site to witness the second hydrostatic test on the 18.625 inch mine string. Patterson Drilling rig 292 drilled to 308 feet, 10 feet below the last total depth of 298 feet, and loaded the hole with water. I witnessed the water level remain static in the pipe for 30 minutes.
1915883002 2017-10-03 Casing String Witnessed No Violations I am on site today to witness the cementing of the 18.625 inch mine string casing. Patterson Drilling rig 292 drilled a 24 inch diameter hole to a depth of 298 feet and set 290 feet of 18.625 inch, 87.5 pound per foot casing. Halliburton pumped 25 barrels of gel then 598 sacks of class A cement, 1.22 yield, 15.6 pound per gallon, 2 percent Calcium Chloride, 0.25 pound per barrel poly-e-flake, 5.5 gallon per sack water requirement. A coal seam was identified from 236 feet to 248 feet, two baskets were set at 230 feet and 220 feet. Patterson noted they did not lose circulation while drilling. Halliburton displaced with 75 barrels of fresh water to land the plug. Cement did not returned to surface. The wiper plug landed and pressure was increased to approximately 500 pounds per square inch (psi) over pump pressure, the casing held approximately 700 psi for 5 minutes. Patterson ran one inch tremie pipe down the backside of the 18.625 inch casing. Halliburton pumped 9.2 barrels (42 sacks) of class A, 1.2 yield, 15.6 pound per gallon cement to set the basket. After waiting approximately 2 hours Halliburton pumped an additional 46.6 barrels (214 sacks). After a total of 3 top outs (456 sacks), cement returned to surface and remained static.
2068883442 2018-03-14 Preliminary Restoration No Violations On the day of my inspection I found this pad to contain 3 properly labeled producing wells. Well is equipped with christmas tree style wellhead. Gauges on wellhead read 0 psi surface, 1043 psi intermediate, 5367 psi tubing, and 4600 psi production. Production equipment includes three line heaters, three gas production units, two 500 barrel steel tanks, and 6 sand seperators. Pad is stable and vegetated. Site meets requirements of ORC 1509.072A for preliminary restoration.
