1630044877 | 2019-03-29 | Production Wells | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I met with landowner Ken Zitko on his property at 86241 Hissem Road, Cadiz to look at an abandoned well. The complaint number is 6169. While there he showed me three old oil tanks that are wooden with steel straps. ODNR oil well viewer shows a plethora of plugged and abanoned historic wells in the area. This particular well has no casing present. There is approximately a 24 inch diameter hole to approximately 15 feet and then a smaller diameter hole (approximately 15 inch) to an unknown depth. No signs of fluid or odor at surface. Records indicate this well was plugged in 1929. Idle well report emailed to Gene Chini 4/1/19. |
