0155281972 | 2016-06-17 | Work Over Reconditioning | No Violations | On the day of my inspection, I witnessed Red Hill Development has a dozer on site and is reconditioning the location in preparation for a plug back that is soon to take place. There are currently 14 500bbl. frack tanks on location. |
0180346283 | 2016-08-08 | Plug / Plug Back | No Violations | I am on site today to check the status of the plug back operation. Prior to my arrival I was informed by the Service Rig Supervisor, Dave Gross that the cement job would be occurring sometime today. When I arrived on site I witnessed Red Hill development was in the process of running the 4.5 inch diameter production casing. Dave informed me that this would be a two stage cement job and that they intend to use 18 casing centralizers and set the stage to at approximately 2800 feet. Dave also stated that they planned to run centralizers above and below the stage tool for the best potential cement coverage. After a numerous hours had passed I realized I would not be able to witness the cementing of the production casing. Dave stated that he would keep me informed with how the cement job went. |
0216271379 | 2016-09-16 | Plug / Plug Back | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I witnessed Red Hill development is in the process of drilling out the stage tools and setting downhole equipment. Company man Dave gross informed me after the service rig completes the drilling of the stage tool they will perforate one hole in the 4.5 inch diameter production casing. Once the pipe is perforated, Red Hill will then run downhole equipment and pressurize the formation in a series of events designed by Halliburton. The equipment downhole will monitor the formation and Halliburton will use this information for a specialized tailor made frack job. Dave stated after Halliburton designs the frack job for this well, they plan to frack it. |
0297326166 | 2016-07-20 | Plug / Plug Back | No Violations | Arrive on site today to find that the service rig is still pulling out 2 3/8 inch diameter tubing. They plan on pulling out all of the tubing today then shut down until Weds. Or Thursday of next week. I remained on site for a good amount of time while they pulled tubing to see if there were high H2S readings. After 1 hour I determined that there was not enough H2S to be alarmed. There are fans being used at this time. |
0377263132 | 2016-07-14 | Production Wells | No Violations | There is a service rig over the well today. The plan after they rig up is to pull the tubing out and get ready to run back in with a string of 2 3/8 inch diameter tubing. They will set the bottom plug then pull out the tubing and rip the 4 1/2 inch diameter casing. They plan on running new casing back in to the Marcellus formation and conduct a large frack to see if it is productive. |
0489580089 | 2016-04-20 | Production Wells | No Violations | On the day of my inspection, I witnessed this is a plunger- lift system well, using 2 inch diameter production tubing placed inside 4.5 inch diameter production casing. The plunger is being operated by a motor valve. Production equipment for this well includes a 100 bbl. production tank, a horizontal separator and a 2 inch diameter meter run; all placed inside an earth dike that measures approximately 40*30 feet at an average height of 4 foot. Proper identification was in place at the time of my inspection. RBDM records indicate the well is in producing order. |
0630682220 | 2016-08-03 | Production Wells | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I witnessed no indication of H2S gas and still no personal from Redhill Development working on the well bore. While on site I placed a called to Chris, who stated that the well work had been delayed due to other issues. Chris stated he planned to continue working on the well bore next week. |
0698533423 | 2016-07-19 | Plug / Plug Back | No Violations | I arrived on site today to set the bottom plug as part of a plug back operation. The operator has planned to plug this well back to the Marcellus Formation. The Cement company is not on site and I was advised that they were running late. They plan on arriving at 11:30 to 12:00 noon today. I returned to the site and found that Petroset Cementing Service is running even later than planned and would now be here at 1 PM - they arrived at 1:30 and set the bottom plug thru the 2 3/8 inch diameter tubing after clearing . They used 30 sacks of class A cement with 2% gel and a yield of 1.26 and a wt. of 14.8 The plug was set at 6025 ft. to 5725 ft. |
0791806665 | 2016-07-25 | Plug / Plug Back | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I witnessed no signs of H2S gas and no personnel were on site working on the well bore. |
1468842399 | 2016-07-15 | Plug / Plug Back | No Violations | Red Hill Development has their service rig over the hole today in preparation of plugging back to the Clinton formation. They are pulling tubing at this time. The operation is dealing with H2S gas by using several box fans to blow the gas away from the workers. The H2S range is in the 8 to 10 PPM. Due to the high humid conditions the gas seems to be hanging in place with not much wind to move it. While the gas does have the bad mercaptan odor it is not high on the PPM and is more of a nuisance than a threat. The plan is to pull all of the tubing out and then hot tap the 8 5/8 inch diameter casing because the valves are frozen. They will shut down for the weekend and button up the casing so there will be no chance of leaking. Plugging should occur on Monday. I contacted the New Philadelphia office, Supervisor Brent Bear and Inspector Zollars to update them on a possible complaint which they may receive due to the gas odor. |
1469027088 | 2016-07-18 | Plug / Plug Back | No Violations | I arrived on site today to check on the progress of the service rig to see if they will be setting the bottom plug today. I found that they are pulling the tubing out today and plan on setting the bottom plug on Tuesday. I discovered that the well has to be blown down to begin pulling tubing. The problem is that there is also H2S gas. I advised John Garbrandt the service rig operator that he would need to set up a flare at least 100 ft. away from the work area at the well. There is too much gas to just vent or blow down and it would place too much H2S in the air over too large of an area. The flare took 2 hours to burn off and drop the pressure from over 100 psi to 0. After the gas was down to 0 fans were installed to keep the H2S moving away from the work area. Plugging is scheduled for Tuesday morning at 8 |
1480531285 | 2016-09-08 | Plug / Plug Back | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I witnessed the frack operation has not been completed for the plug back and the service rig has been removed from the location. I spoke to well owner Chris Kimble who informed me that he plans to frack the well once he has completed drilling and fracking permitted well no 34-67-2-1277-0000. He stated that is may be another month before the well is put back into production, but he plans to have the service rig back on the well bore prior to the frack operation to drill out the stage tool inside the 4.5 inch dimeter production casing. |
1734239984 | 2016-08-09 | Plug / Plug Back | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I witnessed that the production casing cement job had occurred over night and was completed by the time of my arrival. I then placed a call to Dave Gross who informed me that the cement job went as calculated and approximately 8 barrels of cement returns was brought to surface on the second stage cement job. Dave was unsure when they would be back to frack the well however, he assured me that he would inform me on when they planned to frack the well. |

1890368929 | 2016-10-24 | Work Over Reconditioning | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I witnessed that the frack operations are underway. While on site I spoke to company man Dave Gross who informed me that he plans to have the well back into production once the frack operations are completed. Producers Services Corporation will be preforming the frack operation using fresh water and sand. The operation should be completed within the next day. In the duration of my inspection I performed a walk around, where visually I saw no signs of pollution or contamination. |
2065941843 | 2016-07-28 | Plug / Plug Back | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I witnessed Redhill Development in the process of pulling the old 4.5 inch diameter production casing out of the well. Owner/ Operator Chris Kimble informed me that he will be replacing the casing with 11.6 pound per foot 4.5 inch diameter production casing. He plans to have the new pipe in the well and cement by the end of next week. |
