1683204109 2017-04-17 Final Restoration No Violations At 3:25 PM I received a phone call from Wesley Ellis and Tammy Moser stating that a smell of Hydrogen Sulfide gas (H2S) was coming from a flow line outside of their residence and that his water from his water well also smelled like H2S. The well was plugged in 2003 and the final restoration has been previously passed. During my inspection accompanied by ODNR Regional Manager Brent Bear, we met with the land owner Tammy Moser and we witnessed a steel line with an open end at global positioning coordinates 40.13077 -81.42769 beside the residence of Tammy Moser and Wesley Ellis. According to Tammy Moser that 2 inch steel line was the source of the H2S smell. Using the Tango TX1 H2S detector zero readings of H2S were detected. Tammy Moser directed us to the water well that she mentioned they drilled 200 feet in depth in 2014 at global positioning coordinates 40.13076 -81.42812. Mr. Bear and I mentioned that we have a hydrologist with ODNR that will sample water wells if the well is a qualified candidate for sampling. ODNR Jake Glascock will be notified and he will be in touch with the land owner about the water well complaint.
