0137911210 | 2013-10-09 | Orphan | No Violations | My inspection this day due to complaint by John Enos, landowner, of orphan wells. He believes all 3 wells were drilled 1969 by Eastern Operating. Well records show there is 1213 of 8 5/8OD surface casing and 4926 of 4.5 casing. The well was fraced and the landowner says it was later shot with dynamite. The well has a 2 x 3 swedge that is closed. This well is accessed starting from the landowners driveway, then heading back through the cattle pens and following the trail west through the pasture for about 1700. There is a permit to plug this well but no record of it being plugged. There are 2 water wells near the cattle pens and because John Enos runs a butcher shop, the well in use is tested every 6 months. There is also a spring betweeen the 2 wells. The pasture has some deep erosional ruts that will need smoothed over when the well is completed. Pictures taken, SEM is 121. |
