0666956519 2018-02-15 Production Wells No Violations On the day of my inspection I following up on request from Eclipse Resources to inspect the well, I found the well equipped with 10 inch diameter conductor pipe, 6.625 inch diameter casing, 2 inch diameter tubing, rods and a 1 inch gas packer. No production equipment was found. No identification was present and there are no current production records. The well was referred to the Idle & Orphan program on 6/2/14 for review.
1406041372 2014-07-18 Orphan No Violations My re-inspection this day follows an previous inspection by DOGRM Inspector Doug Bennett to address a complaint of idle wells. Landowner, David McDowell, would like the wells plugged and says both leak oil onto the ground when heavy rains flood the area. This well is equipped with 12 diameter conductor, 7 OD casing and wellhead, 2 3/8 diameter tubing and 1 diameter tubing on a packer. The area between the 7 and the conductor is open and water/oil could be seen approximately 10 below grade. The 2 ports on the wellhead are open. The 2 steel flow lines were taken up by the farmer many years ago to work the fields but there is a 15 section of this flowline placed vertically extending from the well as a marker. Like the other well on the property, this well is 50 from the drainage ditch and was pumped from a central power unit with shacklelines. Mr. McDowell has never known the wells to produce, since he bought the land in 1980. Access to the well is off of Frankfort Road, then thru the double gate on the left, following the old railroad bed down into the field. Records show the well was drilled in 1950 to a depth of 1310, into the Berea Ss. Pictures taken, SEM is 183.
1767842332 2014-06-02 Orphan No Violations On the day of my inspection I received a complaint call from David McDowell concerning two orphan wells on his property he would like to get plugged. He stated that when the Leatherwood creek floods the wells fill up with flood water and oil gets in his field. Upon arrival I met with Mr. McDowell and we went to the well and I found it was not capable of production and equipped with 10 inch conductor pipe, 6.625 inch casing, 2 inch tubing, rods and a 1 inch gas packer. The casing was open with no signs of contamination at the time of inspection. No production equipment was found. No identification was present and there are no current production records. Complaint ID 4724.
