1437942234 2015-07-24 Orphan No Violations I inspected this reported well location as an orphan well status update. The landowner and son of the complainant, Mr. Holland indicates the well is suspected to be located behind the paving facility building, under some large sandstone blocks. At the time of my inspection, the well location is not visible or apparent. There is noticeable gas odor in the area of the sandstone blocks, which are located within 10 feet of the western (rear) exterior wall of the building currently occupied by Holland Paving.
1542507657 2016-05-05 Orphan No Violations Met with landowner, Mr. Holland. He showed me location of well. The area is now paved over, but there is an intermittent strong odor of gas. Mr. Holland stated that the gas is not migrating into his building, which is utilized as a garage on the lower floor, and office spaces on the second floor, despite the reported well being less than 20 from said building. Mr . Holland stated that he has NO INTEREST IN HAVING WELL PLUGGED, OR VAULTED AND VENTED. His thoughts are If it isnt broken, dont fix it.
