0795476703 2010-02-05 Production Wells No Violations Well capable of production , notified pumper to post identification .
1197376530 2016-09-07 Field Inspected, Well Not Found No Violations I was contacted by Jim Dunfee requesting my assistance in resolving a case of mistaken well identity. I met with Jim, and John and Margaret Grim of G&S Oil & Gas at the well site. I found that the well was being produced with an electric powered pumping unit. The lines were connected and the valves were open. There was one 210 barrel steel tank staged approximately 25 feet from the wellhead. The identification on the tank was posted for permit 0601. I took GPS coordinates on the well to compare them to ODNR records. I plotted the new coordinates on a computer generated map in Topo 9 with the coordinates stored in RBDMS. I also compared the computer generated map with the original plat map used in the well permit application. I determined that the well in question was actually permit 0553. I also used my handheld GPS unit to walk to the coordinate location of permit 0601 stored in RBDMS. I found no existing well or well components. I did find that the coordinates plotted 43 feet from an open, flat area surrounded by mixed forest. Although no oilfield related materials were found, the area exhibited the characteristics of a plugged well site. I advised Mr. and Mrs. Grim to make an attempt to locate any old documents pertaining to the well being plugged.
1480529533 2016-11-30 Final Restoration No Violations I searched ODNR records and found a signed, completed plugging report, dated 5/1/79 for this well. I recommend that this well be placed in final restoration status, based on my field inspection of the well site on 9/7/16 where I found the stored well coordinates plotted within 43 feet of an open flat area in mixed forest that was covered in grasses and broadleaf vegetation. I found no oilfield related materials or debris. I found no open pits and no signs of erosion. I found no contamination or signs of a leaking plugged well. There was no existing access road, and I found no existing production equipment. This well site meets the requirements for final restoration.
