0342346224 2015-04-16 Production Wells Violations Noted I was onsite to conduct a follow-up inspection. On 12/31/2014 I conducted a status check where I observed that the identification was incomplete, the tank needed a plug, and the dike was insufficient and breached in two spots. I contacted Pep Horning, pumper for S&S Energy, on 1/6/2015 regarding the violations. Upon reinspection, the identification, tank valve plug, and dike issues still remain and have not been resolved. A compliance notice is being issued requiring that the well be properly identified, the valve on the production tank be locked or secured with a plug, and the dike be repaired and raised.
0746776247 2014-02-12 Production Wells No Violations I was at the site to check on the final repairs that had been done to the wellhead. I found the wellhead completely repaired, and the well in production. A new ID sign was also on the well. The repairs were done to repair a leak in the tubing below the tubing valve on the plunger-lift assembly. I had originally called the company regarding the leak on 8/05/13 in response to the landowners call regarding the leak. I spoke with Mr. Earl Horning of S&S Energy on 8/05/13. He responded promptly by placing a clamp on the leaking tubing, and subsequently replaced the leaking tubing. During my follow-up inspection on 8/14/13, I had found the tubing replaced and leak repaired, but the wellhead piping was not entirely connected. During a phone call from me on 8/14/13, Mr. Horning indicated that he needed some additional parts to complete the repair and place the well back into production. My inspection today was to follow up on those repairs.
0753152045 2014-12-31 Production Wells No Violations I was on site to conduct a status check. Identification was posted at the wellhead and tank battery but incomplete at tank battery. The tank battery consists of one 100 bbl production tank and one vertical separator. The tank valves are not plugged. There is a meter box with a current chart showing production. The dike is present but is in poor condition and needs to be brought up in several places. The wellhead is equipped as a plunger lift with a domestic supply line. The access road and site are stable. The operator will be contacted to address of the identification, tank plugging, and dike issues.
0882437849 2013-08-14 Production Wells No Violations On 08/09/2013, I received a call from Earl Horning of S&S Energy regarding the repairs to the tubing leak on the wellhead. Mr. Horning indicated that the repairs were in progress. The corroded and leaking tubing was to be removed, and a new tubing valve would be installed. I stopped at the site to follow up on these repairs. I found the well shut in, the tubing repaired, and a new tubing valve installed. No gas was leaking. The piping for a portion of the well head was not completely together. I called Mr. Horning regarding this situation, and he indicated he had to secure some parts to complete the task. He was going to try to have the plumbing fully connected by Friday 08/16/2013.
1472141804 2016-08-15 Production Wells No Violations The purpose of my inspection was to conduct a compliance notice follow-up. On 4/22/2015, Inspector Joshua Schiering issued a compliance notice due to incomplete well identification, a missing plug on the production tank and for an insufficient dike. Upon my inspection, the well head was properly identified. No audible or visual leaks were identified. A domestic supply was present. The tank battery consisted of a vertical separator and a 100 bbl production tank. A current chart indicating production was in the meter house. No audible or visual leaks were identified. The production tank was in good repair. I did not observe any leaks. The load line valve was shut and plugged. The heater tube access was obstructed with a plastic bucket. The top hatch was closed. An earthen dike was constructed around the production equipment and stabilized with vegetation. RBDMS indicates reported production through 2014. I will contact S&S Energy concerning production reporting. The compliance notice can be closed.
