1534515321 2017-04-19 Production Wells No Violations The purpose of my inspection was to conduct a status check on well #2-1525. A review of RBDMS indicates the owner is current with reporting production. Lease access to the well and tank battery was through a farm driveway. The well location was within a pasture field and was stable. A heavy gauge wire perimeter was constructed around the well to prevent access by livestock. Correct and legible identification was present at the well head. The 8.625 well head was at grade. The 4.5 production casing was equipped with a plunger lift assembly. Production valves were in the open position. No audible or visual leaks were identified. A domestic supply connection was present. A casing pressure gauge indicated 295 psi. The earthen dike constructed around the production equipment was worn away. Production equipment on location consisted of one (1) vertical separator and one (1) 100 bbl production tank. Correct and legible identification was present on the separator. The separator did not appear to be operational. The discharge line out to the production tank was rusted through at the base of the production tank. No evidence of a fluid release was present. The production tank exhibited extensive exterior corrosion. No holes or leaks were observed on the body of the tank. The load line valve was closed and plugged. The hatch lid was closed. I will contact lease operator Pep Horning to discuss the condition and function of the tank battery. No violations were observed during this inspection.
1959359086 2015-04-16 Production Wells No Violations I was on site to conduct a status check. The tank battery is located in a cattle pasture and cattle have unrestricted access to all production equipment onsite. Identification was posted on the tank battery. The tank battery consists of one 100 bbl production tank and one vertical separator. The tanks valves are sealed with a plug. There is a meter box with a current chart but does not show production. Meter box housing is damaged. No dike is present. The well head is located in a cattle pasture to restrict access. The wellhead is equipped with a plunger lift and a domestic supply line. The valve to the tubing and tubing head is closed. Gas was leaking on the valve assembly leading to the domestic supply line. The access road and site are stable. I called Pep Horning at 1:31 PM about the leak at the wellhead. He indicated they were going to do some work on the well in the near future and that he would take care of the leak quickly. I will recommend that the tank battery be fenced to restrict access by cattle.
