Inspection ID Inspection Date Inspection Type Inspection Result Inspection Comments
0197960638 2015-11-18 Production Wells No Violations My inspection found the well to be equipped with 8 casing, 6 1/4 casing, 2 tubing and rods. The pumpjack has been removed from the well. The annulus is open to the atmosphere. The tank battery consists of a 100 BBL tank. There is no known production ever recorded for the well. There is no identification on the well or the tank battery. The well is easily accessed by a existing lease road and a field.
1975929074 2018-04-11 Orphan No Violations The purpose of my inspection was to conduct a status check on well #2-0221. I received a phone call from landowner John Mahaffey who reported that the well head was leaking water. I met Mr. Mahaffey on location and found the stuffing box tee had failed and witnessed a slow drip of water from the well. Mr. Mahaffey stated that he had noticed the leak a couple of weeks and before. He continued that the stream was steadier and that he determined the water was fresh by taste. I photographed the well head and field tested the discharge for pH and chlorides. The pH strip indicated a value of 6. The low range Quantab indicated a value of 1.1 or less than 35 ppm chloride. I did not observe any value on the high range Quantab. The discharge was clear and colorless. The discharge had a slight petroleum odor. No sheen was observed. The well has been previously documented for the orphan well program. I will continue to monitor the well for any changes.
