1631581427 2015-07-14 Production Wells No Violations I conducted a status check of this well. The well is equipped with an electrically-driven pumpjack. The valves were in the closed position. The well was surrounded with oil-saturated Peat-Sorb Proper identification was posted at the well. I was informed by Don Himes, pumper for Enervest, that the saddle bearing on the pump jack was damaged, which had caused the stuffing box to become damaged and release oil. The well is shut-in until the pump jack can be repaired. The tank battery consists of one 210 barrel production tank, one vertical separator, one drip bottle, and one digital meter. The dike surrounding the tank battery was slightly eroded, and the tank battery was heavily vegetated inside of the dike. There was fresh oil leaking from the discharge line of the production tank at the dresser sleeve. Identification was posted at the tank battery, but contained no permit number. I spoke to Don Himes, a pumping supervisor for Enervest. He will have the contaminated soil and Peat-Sorb removed from around the well, have the leak at the discharge line of the production tank repaired, remove any contaminated soil, and have a correct identification posted at the tank battery. I will follow up during the week of 08/17/2015.
