1038421523 2019-01-08 Casing String Witnessed No Violations On the day of my inspection I witnessed Recon pressure pumping was on location. Appalachian drilling released the pressure from the 24-inch diameter casing and loaded approximately 12 barrels of fresh water into the casing. Recon hooked up their pressure pumping equipment performed a safety meeting and begin pumping on the 24-inch diameter casing at 19:09 on 1/8/2018, the casing reached 300 pounds per square inch at 19:13 and after ten minutes the pressure had dropped to 298 pounds per square inch, pressure continued to decrease to 294 pounds per square inch by 19:33, at the end of the 30 minute casing integrity test the 24 inch diameter casing had reached 290 pounds per square inch. The casing integrity test passed in accordance with OAC 1501:9-1-08. Appalachian Drilling Superintendent Steve Guile informed me that they intend on performing the casing cut off and installing well head after pressure has been released off the casing.
1546188411 2018-12-30 Casing String Witnessed No Violations On site inspection to witness the conductor casing cement job with Lightning Energys auger rig and C&J Cement Service. The rig has drilled a 36 well bore to a measured depth of 100 from found level elevation. The rig then inserted 100 of .375 wall weld connection 30 diameter casing. The casing was cemented by C&J Energy Service using a 66 barrel cement mix consisting of 310 sacks of Class A cement. The cement weight was verified at 15.6 pounds per gallon by weight of scale. The cement yield was 1.18 with 2% calcium and 1/4 pound per sack loss circulation material. The cement was displaced with 74 barrels of fresh water. The cement company reported 20 barrels of cement returns to surface.
1547051528 2019-01-09 Urban Drill / Deepen / Reopen No Violations Status check inspection on the current well drilling process found Appalachian Drilling Rig # 1 on location and rigged up on the said well and drilling the 22 mine string well bore on air at a measured depth of 414 from ground level elevation. The drilling rig drill string has pulled off bottom and is taking a directional survey with a Multi Shot Directional tool at a measured survey depth of 346. Once the survey is complete the rig will continue drilling the current well bore section with anticipation of encountering the mine between the approximate depts of 445 to 448. The 18.625 diameter 87.5 pound per foot J-55 Grade Buttress Thread casing will be set 30 to 50 through the mine and cemented accordingly. The company does propose running (2) baskets on the string along with a casing shoe. The rig will also continue drilling on the pad and set a 13.375 string before skidding to the next well on the pad. The drilling rig is a hydraulic Schramm 200 series and is situated on polymer containment. The well does not have an earthen berm. 2 wells are currently being drilled and 2 wells were previously drilled. The Urban Drilling and fencing requirements were waived due to the Rural location of the drilling site.
1547481904 2019-01-14 Casing String Witnessed No Violations On site inspection to witness the 13.375 intermediate casing cement job with C&J Cement Service and Appalachian Energy Drilling Company. The rig has drilled a 17.5 diameter well bore to a measured depth of 2,252, upon reaching total depth t he rig pulled the drill string and inserted 2,222 of 13.375 J-55 grade Buttress thread casing. Upon the landing of the casing the job was handed over to C&J Cement Service who installed the cement head and held a pre job safety meeting and then proceeded to load the casing and well bore with 355 barrels of fresh water followed with circulation being established before beginning the pumping of the cement. The total volume of cement pumped was 365 barrels consisting of 1,680 sacks of class A cement with the cement weight verified at 15.6 pound per gallon by weight of scale. The cement was displaced to the float collar with 337 barrels of recycled fluid and the casing was pressure tested to 1642 pounds per square inch upon the landing of the cement plug. 65 barrels of cement returns were witnessed to surface and the well circulated continuously during the cement job.
