0148774581 2018-03-14 Surface Facility Construction No Violations On the day of my inspection there was no activity currently happening on this location. The location does appear to be out of the construction phase and ready for drilling activity. Permits for drilling have been issue but the operator has not commenced operations at this time. The location was contained within chain-linked fencing.
0435368880 2019-05-06 Casing String Witnessed No Violations The purpose of my inspection was to witness a mine string cement job. Falcon 25 drilled a 22-inch diameter borehole and 18.625-inch diameter casing was ran to 368- feet. A cement basket was set at 300-feet and at 230-feet. C&J Energy Services rigged up on location and pumped 35 barrels of gel and 375 sacks of cement. The plug was dropped and displaced with 106 barrels of displacement. The plug landed, floats held, and .5 barrels were bled back to the pump truck. Cement returns were not established. Falcon 25 ran 1-inch diameter steel tubing to 230-feet. C&J plumped up to the 1-inch and pumped 24 sacks of cement, waited 1 hour, pumped 47 sacks of cement, waited 1 hour, pumped 225 sacks of cement, waited 1 hour, and pumped 33 sacks of cement. The cement was brought to surface and was witnessed within the cellar. The pump time for the job was from 7:05 a.m. 1:52 p.m.
0872198727 2019-04-16 Casing String Witnessed No Violations On site inspection to witness the conductor casing cement job accompanied by ODNR Inspector Rick Brown with Precision Rat Hole top hole rig on location along with Petroset Cement Service. The well was spudded on 04/15/2019 and the rig has drilled a 30 diameter conductor borehole to a measured depth from ground level of 97. The rig inserted 98 of 24 diameter 94.6 pound per foot casing, Petroset Cement Service pumped a 52.5 barrel 250 sack class A cement mix, the cement weight was 15.6 pound per gallon and the yield was 1.18. The cement was displaced with 46 barrels of fresh water. The tin horn cellar set was 8 deep x 10 wide with no circulation or cement returns witnessed to surface. The area was reportedly previously mined for coal and records indicate 60 of mine spoil. The driller indicated the ground was hard and not previously disturbed however the fluid level never rose above 55 measured depth from ground level. The company representative Doug Bennett indicated they would top the well off from surface.
