0322518842 | 2018-06-13 | Production Wells | No Violations | I conducted an inspection on this well site as a request from landowner Dan Diemert. Mr. Diemert stated that there was a transmission line that ran through his property and belonged to Big Sky Energy. The line had previously been repaired by Big Sky Energy. Mr. Diemert concern was regarding the location of the repaired line. He stated that the area was very wet and a shiny film was on top of the standing water at the line location. Upon inspection of the site, no leak was observed the the shiny film was a biological sheen on top of the water.
The well was equipped with a pumping unit and the tubing valve and 2 inch flow line valve was closed. There was an active domestic line off of the 4.5 inch casing. The tank battery consisted of one 210 BBL tank and a mechanical separator. The sales line from the separator had been disconnected, along with the sales meter. There was oil stained soil at the base of the 210 BBL within the diked battery. The signage at the tank battery was missing owner information and the lease access was a shared residential driveway. |
0985225844 | 2015-10-29 | Production Wells | No Violations | My inspection found the low hanging electric line has been raised to a safe height. This action resolves all of the remedial work required by the Compliance Notice. This case is resolved. |
1432135703 | 2015-05-19 | Production Wells | Violations Noted | Complaint# 5029, Dan Diemert. My inspection found the tank battery is equipped with one 210 barrel steel tank and one separator. There is no emergency phone number posted on the identification sign. While walking to the well site I found the electric line that supplies the pump-jack is disconnected from the telephone pole 725 feet east of route 193 and is 5.5 feet off of the ground. At the well I found gas is leaking from the packing in the surface casing head. There is a active domestic hook-up from the production casing. Remedial work required to resolve this compliance notice: Post a emergency phone number on the identification sign at the tank battery area, Raise the electric line to a safe height from animals and people. Note: There is a back-hoe parked on the east side of the tank battery area with the front right tire removed and lying on the ground. The back-hoe needs to be removed. |
1509387466 | 2017-10-30 | Production Wells | No Violations | I inspected this well location as part of legal proceedings. As such, the following deficiencies had been noted: leakage of gas, areas around the well including flow-lines requiring burial and restoration, low-hanging electrical lines creating a hazard, and lack of identifying signage. At the time of this inspection, I noted the following: a wellhead with pump jack system and associated battery on a larger, rural parcel. The battery was comprised of one 210-barrel, steel production tank and horizontal separator. Fittings and connections at the both the well head and battery were free from signs of leakage. I did not note any leakage of gas. The electrical lines had been restored to a normal, working height and did not appear to be causing any potential hazard. The flow-lines and associated areas around the well had been buried and restoration work, including re-seeding had been performed with some initial establishment of grass. ID signage was present but not complete (lacking complete API permit #). |
1559761298 | 2015-06-30 | Production Wells | No Violations | Follow-up, complaint# 5029, Dan Diemert. My inspection found identification has been posted at the tank battery area. The electric line supplying electric to the pump jack motor has not been raised to a safe height. The gas leak from the production casing head packing has not been repaired. |

1680033620 | 2018-05-15 | Production Wells | No Violations | I inspected this well as an evaluation of current condition. At the time of this inspection, I noted the following: a wellhead with pump jack system. The pump was idle. The fittings were secure with no signs of leakage. The associated tank battery was comprised of one 210-barrel production tank, and horizontal separator. The tank was empty. There were no signs that the well was being produced. There were several inches of water in the secondary containment, with a sheen of floating oil. The chart recorder system had been dismantled and was not functioning. There was identification signage. The prior compliance deficiencies had been adequately addressed. |
1838514479 | 2015-07-21 | Production Wells | No Violations | Follow-up: Complaint# 5029, Dan Diemert. My inspection of the remedial work that is required found the gas leak at the well head has been repaired. The low hanging electric line supplying power to the pump-jack motor has not been raised to a safe height. |
