Like the Cigol Leduc 16-25-49-27 well, Cigol Leduc 10-25-49-27 was drilled in 1951. It never recorded production and was abandoned in 1971. It eventually came to be owned by Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL).

After several other wells in town were discovered and remediated by Imperial Oil in 2010[1] , CNRL was notified and requested to investigate its own wells within the town.

Cigol Leduc 10-25-49-27 was discovered to be leaking in the backyard of a home in Southwest Calmar and was remediated by CNRL in 2013.[2] Its current license status is RecCertified.
