Eugene Aucoin was Chevron Company Man. The 16H was currently being drilled. Pit and impoundment were sound. No freeboard issues. Area was experiencing heavy rain at time of inspection. Diversion ditches and sed ponds were working as designed. BMPs were adequate. Slopes of pad that had not achieved vegetative cover were hydroseeded. No erosion or sedimentation issues noted. Secondary containment around rig and drilling equipment was adequate. Mr Aucoin was reminded to observe secondary containment during periods of heavy rain to avoid over topping containmnet onto the pad. No violations noted at this time.
