Area Manager, Patterson UTI Drilling -Inspected reported anti-freeze spill area near center of drill pad, 50 gallons -Mr. U indicated it was environmentally safe ¿Red¿ antifreeze. -Found small area of rock stained (~ 15 feet in diameter) -No detectable odor, (took )pic -3rd party clean up company contacted to remove soil, take soil samples for testing and dispose of soil. -Spill caused by winch cable breaking while loading generator pack on truck. -Gen-pack fell and 4¿ antifreeze pipe broke (took pic). Leak stopped & repaired quickly. |
