-1712312620 2011-12-16 An oil spill was discovered/reported at approximately 4 PM yesterday for this well. A line at the tank battery plugged up causing oil to breach the dike, run approximately 700' downhill (in ditch along lease road) into a small stream and then approximately 300' downstream. It is estimated that approximately 1.5 barrels of oil was released. The steep gradient from the tank to the stream caused this small amount of oil to covered such a long distance. OEPA was called and the clean-up crew immediately put out booms downstream of the point of entry to the stream. The clean-up crew is currently flushing the ditch with fresh water and removing all visible oil in the tank battery using sorbent pand to soak up the residual oil. The well owner expects to continue clean-up over the next few weeks and will change/apply sorbent pads/booms as necessary. They will let me know when clean-up is completed. The posted identification signs are faded and need replaced. The dike needs repaired and brought up to required standards.
-397416635 2014-02-18 Well is equipped with a pumping unit and an electric motor. Production valves are shut off at the well head. The tank battery consists of 1 100 barrel tank, a separator and poly-tank. The valve on the line coming from the well head to the separator is closed. Well has been shut in.
