-1658454892 | 2003-04-10 | CASE 03-007 On April 9, the Uniontown office received a complaint from the landowner, Mr. Terry DeShon (330-673-1121) regarding the general condition of the tank battery. According to the complaintant, an old leaking tank had recently been removed. The tank battery is flooded and there is an oil stain and some free oil on the northeast side of the tank battery. A Quantab strip was placed in the dike water to check for brine. The test indicated that the chloride content was less than 20 ppm (0.8 on a low range strip). John Fleming with Great Lakes was notified of the pollution violation. He stated that he would contact Wade Pol to schedule the cleanup of the dike area as soon as possible. | 9-1-07
1050958240 | 2003-04-15 | CASE 03-007 The oil staining has been treated with peatsorb and old sorbent pads have been replaced inside the containment dike. The work was performed by Wade Pol Contracting. While on site, I again met with the landowner (Terry DeShon) who was satisfied with the initial response. I will continue to monitor the site. Assuming that there are no subsequent releases, the violation should be resolved by the required date.
