10979085 2002-04-04 4-3-2002 - Received complaint call from Mark Steigerwald; 40 Oakwood Dr., P.O. Box 139, Westfield Center, Ohio 44251; Phone # 330-887-5136; regarding a well located aprox. 10 feet from his condo. On 4-4-2002, ODNR/MRM Inspectors Dave Claus and Bob Worstall inspected the site. The well was shut-in and consisted of 4-1/2" dia. Casing swedged down to a 1/4" dia. Gauge. A single stock tank was located east of Ironwood drive. Inspector Claus called Andrew King of King Drilling and requested the status of the well. King stated that the Bobier #4 has been shut-in along with 3 other wells located on Westfield Golf Course. The single common stock tank for all 4 wells has been emptied along with the brine tank. A permit to plug the Bobier # 4 was issued in 1984, but was never used. RBDMS shows production thru the year 2000. King Drilling submitted a proposal for Westfield Golf Course and Westfield Condo Assoc. to purchase and plug all 4 wells over a year ago and has received no response. King Drilling is still responsible for these 4 wells. NO VIOLATIONS. ODNR/MRM will follow-up in 2 months with King Drilling to check on the status of these wells. King Drilling has been told to place I.D. signs on the 4 wells and on the common tank battery.
