1293273570 | 2013-03-14 | Crew is running 2 3/8 tubing into the hole to begin circulating out oil and fluids. Fluid returns are being diverted to a 50-barrel half-round tank and to a 300-barrel field tank. Initially, about 50 barrels of oil and fluids are recovered. Some gas is being produced and Doug Gonzalez calls the Maple Heights Fire Chief to advise him. No plugs or other obstructions are encountered up to 800 feet. Additional tubing will have to be delivered tomorrow to continue.
1363210529 | 2012-03-11 | I visited the wellsite to evaluate the status of site preparation for the on-going plugging operations. The wellhead consists of the remnants of a pressure swage and associated valving. The swage is significantly rusted and leaking gas. At the time of my visit, the access road from Schreiber Road, and a work-over area, had been established with gravel pavement. A re-circulation pit had been dug adjacent to the wellhead, along with two catchment pits for fluid control and capture. A silt fence had been erected 50 feet downgradient of the wellsite. Work is on-going to prepare the site for plugging.
1363704212 | 2013-03-18 | Cementers are setting up to begin setting plugs, beginning with bottom plug at 2150'. Plugging proceeded with placement of the Big Lime plug and top plug without incident. The top hole will be grouted to surface tomorrow.
1376512844 | 2013-08-14 | The area of the former well has been re-graded and reseeded and grass cover is well established. Nothing further is required. Final restoration is complete.
-1960796105 | 2013-03-13 | The crew is working to remove the pressure swage from the 10-inch casing at the wellhead. Upon removal of the swage, the casing is open to the maximum observable depth. The crew removed the associated Dresser fitting and cut the 10-inch casing about 2 feet from the current grade. A new threaded collar was welded to the 10-inch casing to establish well control.
-403155195 | 2013-03-15 | Plugging activities are proceeding as planned. An additional 50 barrels of oil and fluid were circulated out of the hole this morning. Service rig has advanced drill string to 2150' without incident. Flow back of gas has subsided. Fluid returns are being diverted to the half-round tank, and the 300-BBL field tank. At 2150', an obstruction was encountered. Offset logs suggest the salt would be at this approximate depth. It is likely that the former 6-inch casing was ripped at the top of the salt here, and attempts to drill further will not be useful. We agree to set a 200' bottom/rip plug at this depth, followed by a Big Lime plug at 1490. Cementers will be scheduled for Monday 03/18/2013.
72222926 | 2013-03-12 | I visited the site to check on on-going work relating to well plugging activity. Activity today included excavating around the base of the 10-inch well casing and pouring cement to stabilize the casing. The crew has excavated a cellar area at the wellhead casing base and established location for the service rig. |
