2277573 | Primary Facility | 2014-06-10 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | On 6/10/2014, the Department conducted an inspection at the T&F Exploaration's NEMACOLIN 7008 and 7008 1H OG WELL site in Wharton Twp., Fayette County. |
2549460 | Primary Facility | 2016-11-30 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted |
On 11/30/16 at approximately 1300 hours I completed a routine complete inspection of the Nemacolin 7008 well pad in response to an extension request submitted by T & F Exploration. The site restoration had been delayed after T & F halted construction of PCSM when they encountered an unknown material below the pad liner. An investigation took place to determine if the material was possibly drill cuttings disposed of by a previous operator. After investigation by T & F and the Department, it was determined that T & F could continue, but if they encountered any evidence of buried material they should stop and contact the Department. Due to the delay, weather conditions have not been appropriate for vegetative growth. An extension of one year from the date of November the 28th has been approved. The new date for site restoration is November 28th, 2017. |
2558990 | Primary Facility | 2017-01-19 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | On 01/19/17 at approximately 1200 hours I conducted a routine complete inspection of the site. The Act 9 sign was in place and all required documents were present at the site. The site had recently been restored and had temporary stabilization (see photographs). There were no violations observed at the time of inspection. |
2586053 | Primary Facility | 2017-04-24 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | The Act 9 sign was in place and all required documents were present at the site. The site had been restored in late 2016 and stabilized. It is recommended the site be seeded and mulched in order to achieve the vegetative cover necessary for an NOT to be issued by the Department. PCSM BMPs had been installed. The production equipment appeared to be in good condition. There were no violations observed at the time of inspection. |
2615330 | Primary Facility | 2017-06-27 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | The Act 9 sign was in place and all required documents were present at the site. The site was restored and vegetation was present, but additional vegetative cover is needed prior to submittal of an NOT. There were no signs of erosion observed. There were no violations observed at the time of inspection. |
2645811 | Primary Facility | 2017-09-27 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | The Act 9 sign was in place and all required documents were present at the site. The site had recently been reclaimed and PCSM installed. The site was vegetated, but sparse areas were observed. It is recommended that additional seeding occur where the vegetation is sparse. There were no signs of erosion observed. The production equipment appeared to be in good condition. There were no violations observed at the time of inspection. |
2656876 | Primary Facility | 2017-10-25 | Site Restoration | No Violations Noted | A site restoration inspection was conducted in response to an NOT submittal by T&F Exploration. The Act 9 sign was in place and all required documents were present at the site. The site meets and exceeds uniform 70% vegetative cover. The production equipment appeared to be in good condition. The site meets the requirements of permit termination. The NOT is approved. |
2778485 | Primary Facility | 2018-09-19 | Routine/Complete Inspection | In Compliance with Policy | According to Department records, well is in Regulatory Inactive status.
At time of inspection well pad surrounded by security fence and padlocked. Department observes a bbl on the northern corner of well pad. This bbl appears unlabeled and is not on secondary containment. Department also observes fluid in brine tank secondary containment unit. In addition, a hole is cut in the security fence on the SW side of the well pad. Department contacted operator rep by phone from site. Operator rep states he believes the bbl on the northern corner of the site is empty. Department recommends removing items not necessary for the production of the well from the site. Operator rep states that the wells are not in production and the fluid in the secondary containment unit is rainwater. Department recommends operator monitor fluid in the secondary containment unit and dispose of according to current regulations. Operator rep states he is aware of the compromised security fence and will address the issue. Operator appear |
